Fluorescent lights are commonly used for growing indoor marijuana, specifically for clones, cuttings and seedlings. I know some people to use Fluorescent lights to grow their mother plants, although I do not recommend it as Fluorescent lights just do not produce enough power to grow a healthy mother plant.
Fluorescent Shop lights for clone growing
I use 2 Fluorescent shop lights in my clone room. Both lights are 4 foot long and hold 2 bulbs each. This is more than enough for me to grow 100 healthy clones under. They are on for 24 hours a day and will last approx 1 year before you need to replace them.
Fluorescent Light Bulbs for Growing Weed
As with every kind of light fixture on the market used for indoor growing, Fluorescent light bulbs come in a wide variety. I have always used the SunAgro or Agrosun light bulbs for all of my seedlings and clones I’ve ever grown.
Most Fluorescent grow light bulbs are fairly inexpensive to replace.
