Small, separate flower sites often develop into more visible clusters around this stage. Follow the growth of the buds, healthy leaves and stable room conditions instead of trying to judge maturity from a calendar date.
Several young flower sites become easier to distinguish.
Resin glands can begin to appear on developing flowers.
Keep surrounding foliage dry and inspectable.
Check leaf condition and water use before changing nutrients.

The original grow log focuses on the small buds and a handheld loupe. Trichomes can be seen well before flowers mature; their early appearance does not mean that a plant is ready to harvest.

Female flower structures form at the growing tips and branch nodes. White stigmas remain visible as new bracts develop, and nearby sites may begin to cluster. Genetics, the start of the flowering transition and conditions all influence timing; a three-week label is an observation window, not a growth specification.
Glandular trichomes develop on the flowers and nearby leaves as flowering progresses. A magnifier helps you observe these structures, but a week-three trichome check should not be treated as a harvest deadline. Later maturity calls require assessing the whole plant and its developing flowers, not just one isolated leaf.
Photoperiod plants generally continue on a consistent 12-hour light and 12-hour uninterrupted dark schedule. Monitor the canopy beneath the fixture without assuming a universal lamp distance. As flowers cluster, keep enough air moving around them to limit damp pockets and check for unusual gray or brown tissue.

Watch water uptake, drainage, roots and persistent leaf symptoms before changing nutrients. Higher EC does not automatically mean healthier flowers.

OBSERVATION CHECKLIST
Compare the same developing buds over several days.
Note glandular texture without calling it harvest readiness.
Track any final stretch and light exposure across the tops.
Look for wet crowded areas as flower sites become denser.
