COOKING NOTES

The small details that help them set.

Time the rolling boil
The one-minute boil begins once the mixture is bubbling across the surface, rather than at the first small bubbles around the edge.
Use quick-cooking oats
Quick oats are the specified ingredient. Keep the measured oats nearby; do not stop to measure them after the saucepan comes off the heat.
Let the surface firm up
Leave the dropped cookies undisturbed until hardened. The listed total time is approximate; setting time can vary, so check the cookies before packing.

Count the cookies after scooping.

The batch uses ½ cup cannabutter. Twenty-four cookies is the listed yield, but tablespoon portions vary. Use known infusion strength and your actual count in the THC estimator. The cannabutter calculator can help estimate the butter first. Store fully set cookies in a labeled, closed container.

Label these as cannabis edibles. Keep locked away from children and pets. Effects can take up to two hours to be felt; avoid taking more while waiting.

Safety: CDC edible-cannabis guidance. Technique: Quaker no-bake method.
