FERTILIZER SYSTEMS / BRAND GUIDE
Choose the formula for the growing system, not the biggest harvest claim.
Advanced Nutrients sells complete base fertilizers and separate additives for different growing media. Those product categories matter more than the promise of a particular yield: a nutrient program should supply the required elements at appropriate concentrations without creating avoidable salt buildup or nutrient imbalance.
Match the chosen system and current label before considering extras.
Account for irrigation water, pH, electrical conductivity and existing nutrients.
Only add a product when there is a reason beyond its marketing promise.
01 / Choose a nutrient family
What should you look for in an Advanced Nutrients system?
Base-feed formulas
Check the guaranteed analysis, feeding directions and whether the product is a standalone fertilizer or one part of a multi-bottle program.
Stage adjustments
A flowering label may change the nutrient balance. A high phosphorus number alone is not evidence of more flowers or heavier harvests.
Medium-specific labels
Coco coir, recirculating water systems and potting mixes have different nutrient and irrigation considerations. Confirm the formula's intended use.
Optional supplements
Products such as Big Bud belong alongside a complete nutrient program, not in place of one. Review the evidence before paying for another bottle.
02 / Use the calculator carefully
Can a feeding app tell you what your plants need?
The manufacturer's BudLabs app and nutrient calculators can help organize a brand-specific schedule. They do not measure what is already in your water or medium, or diagnose root-zone problems. Treat the output as a starting point to compare against the current label, not a promise of an ideal formula for every plant.

After mixing, follow the product directions and take your own readings. Our EC guide explains what conductivity can and cannot reveal; the pH guide covers acidity and nutrient availability.
03 / Buying and combining bottles
Use today's formulation—not an old product catalog.
Product names, formulations, dosage charts and availability change. Before buying, read the current guaranteed analysis, mixing sequence, medium compatibility, and safety instructions on the actual label. Do not assume every listed supplement is necessary or can be combined freely.
