Job Description

The Agricultural Hemp Program Coordinator coordinates the day-to-day program and administrative operations of the Hemp Program within the LCOB Center for Agribusiness. Participates in the development and implementation of programs for the LCOB Center for Agribusiness.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.

Two years of professional, full-time experience in an appropriate area of specialization with Florida Gulf Coast University or SWFL non-profit organization.

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook).

Valid driver license.

Preferred Qualifications

Five years of professional, full-time experience in an appropriate area of specialization with Florida Gulf Coast University or SWFL non-profit organization.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of the industrial hemp industry.

Knowledge of budget control principles, practices and procedures.

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination of people and resources.

Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures and an ability to interpret and apply consistently.

Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in confidential matters.

Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relations with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, business partners and the public in a service oriented manner.

Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned and timely decisions.

Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate data in a clear and concise format.

Perform duties as assigned that include, but are not limited to:

Coordinates the day-to-day program and administrative operations of the Hemp Program.

Participates in the development and implementation of academic programs to achieve program and department objectives.

Works collaboratively with administrators in the development, implementation, documentation, and enforcement of program policies and procedures.

Creates and implements evaluations, assessments, and academic program strategic goals to assess and report growth and effectiveness of the academic programs to supervisor and appropriate stakeholders.

Identifies opportunities for improvement that enable the program to achieve its strategic goals.

Develops budget recommendations and assists with developing budget requests.

Monitors and complies with all fiscal guidelines in accordance with university policies and procedures.

Develops, administers and analyzes continuous assessment of programs. Prepares and evaluates statistical, analytical, and narrative reports to be used for decision making and program improvement.

Plans and coordinates events, seminars, presentations, and workshops that support academic achievement strategic goals.

Develops and maintains the departments publications, website, and social media presence.

Serves on department as well as cross-campus committees for special event planning and programming.

Assists in the design of AEB 3933 Cannabis Business to be taught in Fall 2020 semester.
