SHREDDED CARROT / PINEAPPLE WITH ITS JUICE

Keep the fruit in balance.

Use the full eight-ounce can of crushed pineapple without draining it. Its juice is part of this batter, alongside the milk, eggs, and melted butters.

THE CARROTS

2 cups, shredded

Grate the carrots before mixing. Distribute the shreds through the batter so each slice gets some.

THE PINEAPPLE

One 8-ounce can

Use crushed pineapple, undrained. A larger can adds extra fruit and liquid; measure the specified amount.

COOKING NOTES

A sheet cake with fruit all the way through.

Use the specified pan
Grease a 9 × 13 inch baking dish. Changing the pan changes the batter depth and the way the center bakes.
Test the center
Near the end of baking, check the center with a cake tester. Wet batter means it needs more time; the browned edge alone does not tell you the center is baked.
Cool before adding icing
Let the cake cool before slicing or adding an optional cream-cheese icing. The ingredient list below is for the cake itself; icing is a separate finish.

Choose your slices before estimating.

This cake uses ½ cup cannabutter and ¼ cup regular butter. Count the pieces you actually cut; a pan size is not a serving count. Use the infused amount in the THC estimator. Keep the cooled cake covered, and refrigerate if adding cream-cheese icing.

Label these as cannabis edibles. Keep locked away from children and pets. Effects can take up to two hours to be felt; avoid taking more while waiting.
