Social Media Manager

We are looking to hire an experienced B2B Social Media Manager who is both creative and analytical, and will become a key player in helping us grow our reach and revenues. This new role will develop and manage our social media programs and presence, across both marketing and editorial teams, and will be responsible for creating original content, managing posting across all social channels, and being responsive as needed.
The ideal candidate will have deep understanding and knowledge of how to reach and engage B2B audiences, and will have demonstrative proof of results relating to growing audiences and revenues. This will require gaining a pulse on the marijuana and hemp industries both on and off social.

What were looking for you to do:
Develop and refine our social media strategy, to build our brands in the Marijuana and Hemp industries in parallel with marketing and editorial efforts.
Through day to day hands-on execution and through compelling longer-term strategies, create engaged communities of fans and advocates
Create unique content customized for each social channel that is on-brand, differentiates us from our competitors, and conveys our value
Collaborate with our Creative Services, Marketing, and Editorial teams to develop compelling assets for posts
Work with our Marketing Analytics team to determine appropriate budgets for promotion, and join our earned social efforts with our demand gen efforts
Develop a calendar and regular cadence of content, while being opportunistic with timely news/content. Tactically manage our accounts across social platforms daily
Regularly and proactively monitor social channels for customer engagement, elevating support issues as needed
Define, establish and communicate channel governancewhat we publish, when, why, how and which channels are most appropriate.
Develop and meet monthly KPIs for cross-channel community growth and posts. Working with the marketing analytics team, provide monthly recap reports on social analytics
Analyze progress and identify areas for improvement and further optimize content for additional engagement
Stay up-to-date on developments on each social platform and how they may impact our social activity
Identify tools and technology to better manage our social activity and platforms
Required experience and skill sets:
BA in communications-related field, or exceptional equivalent work history
5-7 years of experience managing multiple social media accounts, with at least half of that experience for B2B audiences.
Experience in a publishing and/or events company a huge plus.
Experience in editorial social media marketing, or understanding of the difference between editorial and marketing driven social media a strong plus.
Ability to quickly learn an industry, its players, audiences, dynamics, culture and language
Track record of growing both audiences and engagement in B2B environments
Mastery of short form communication, expert in being able to say a lot in very limited spaces through use of images to support and enhance copy
Strong collaborator, able to work effortlessly across marketing and editorial teams to create social media experiences which satisfy our audiences and meet internal objectives
Expertise in all major social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube
An analytical mind, with a passion for testing, and a data-driven approach to optimizing content
Experience running successful social media campaigns on both small and large scales
Excellent writing and grammatical expertise is a must.
Excellent time management and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment
