Good Meds, a Colorado based Cannabis Company, has immediate opening for a Senior Finance Manager. Good Meds is a medical marijuana business and follows a healthcare management model, operating under high standards of professionalism. This position will answer directly to the Controller of the parent company, Redwood Green Corp.Job Purpose: The Senior Manager of Finance is a key member of the finance team and helps lead Divisional growth, acquisition integration and project management pertaining to all company financials. This position will support the advancing daily operations of Good Meds’ 90,000 square foot Grow operation and it’s two medical dispensaries. This position will manage a high performance function focused on continuous improvement and effective change management. These duties currently include financial reporting, bookkeeping, accounting and tax preparations.This position will be expected to deliver high quality products well in advance of deadlines. This position supports company objectives and initiatives. The Senior Manager of Finance for Good Meds will assist company executives and directors in execution of programs, services, and administrative tasks.Key Responsibilities and expectations:Operate as Senior Finance Manager responsible for management of accounting functions and Payroll. Responsible for timely and accurate closing cycle, financial reporting and analysis, profit planning, forecasting and Capital Expenditure requests.Bookkeeping – including posting of daily transactions for all business accounts, and reconciliations of key areas and providing regular financial reporting to key executives of company.Cash management – accounts payable/receivable, reconciliation and verification of daily reports, compliance with cash handling policies, banking relationship interface.Management of cash flow logs including income/expenses.Critical advisor and champion for enterprise excellence and maximum value creation.Auditing – Sales and inventory, compliance reports/systems to ensure conformance with industry requirements.Assist on Information System Implementations and realize benefits, particularly in Financial and Costing areasChallenges forecasts and budget to assure quality and logic.Maintaining and organizing corporate documents in hard/digital formats.Conformance/compliance with MED regulations and policies surrounding the Grow and Retail operations, including but not limited to: state/local regulation compliance and updates, maintaining security protocols, updating access protocols, and fulfillment of work schedules.Comply with all HR polices including confidentiality and non-disclosure.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Must comply with HIPAA guidelines as put forth by Federal regulations.Contribute to the team environment and company advancement per strategic direction set by management.Assist Controller, CFO and Operations in whatever is required to maintain successful operations.Job Qualifications:Must already possess or be able to qualify to receive a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division support badge and 21 years of age or older. Colorado residency required. Must have reliable transportation.Knowledge: 5-7 years of advanced knowledge of accounting functions including Financial reporting, bookkeeping, and accounting functions. Proficiency in Excel, Quickbooks, Google and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred knowledge of local and state laws and regulations pertaining to medical and/or retail marijuana. Biotrack experience a plus.Ability: The role requires strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, ability to identify, anticipate and (creatively) solve problems. Must be able to work in a team environment, where professionalism, accountability, and proactive behavior are valued. Your success and happiness in this position will require positive behavior, a cooperative nature, and self-motivation.Education or Formal Training: Bachelor’s degree in a Finance or Accounting required. Master’s degree preferred and/or combination of significant relevant work and educational experience.Experience: Accounting, Financial reporting and bookkeeping.Working Environment: Normal office environment. Typical working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. May be required to work nights and weekends during audits and busy times of year. Driving is required, candidate must have own transportation available during workday.Physical Activities: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, carrying boxes, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
