THE OPPORTUNITY
The Director of Process Management will be responsible for coordinating with manufacturing and the leadership team to plan, develop, and execute programs and activities with regard to new development initiatives. The Director of Process Management must have strong analytical skills in order to ensure all relevant data is collected and effectively use that data to make inform decisions. This person must have strong decision-making and problem-solving skills and be able to find effective ways to deal with specific production-related issues.
Oversee and make recommendations regarding facility management, construction, and equipment selection for extraction and manufacturing including upstream processing, refinement, product formulation, packaging, and distribution. Provide both technical oversight and strategic guidance in facility and process management. Responsible for equipment selection and improvements including assessing need, capability, space allotment, efficiency, and throughput. Coordinate with VP’s, Project management team, architects and engineering teams to successfully build and operate compliant, state of the art facilities. Knowledge and understanding of cannabis and/or hemp manufacturing, cGMP requirements, relevant regulatory requirements related to cannabis and hemp manufacturing and analytical methods to ensure compliance in all activities. Oversee the management of systems for equipment maintenance, calibration, certification, and qualification.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree 10 plus years of experience managing product, staff, and resources Demonstrated ability to achieve process management objectives in a large scale commercial agricultural manufacturing operation at the senior levelExtensive knowledge of food safety, security and GMP guidelinesPrevious cannabis growing experience preferred.Enjoys working in a start-up, fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently in a highly organized manner
