Ogden-Weber Technical College is looking for a new organized and enthusiastic Cosmetology Program Coordinator for its program.This position works under the direction of the program director. The Cosmetology Programs Coordinator works closely with the program director, salaried, and adjunct faculty to coordinate all program activities supporting student success measures in the barbering, cosmetology and nail technician programs. These activities include curriculum development and implementation, budget development and management, staffing requirements and scheduling, salaried and adjunct faculty professional development and evaluation, and student outcomes. FUNCTIONS:Provide students with technical instruction in a safe, clean, and productive learning environment; maintain student records to include verification of attendance and competency completion.Coordinate with state licensing department to ensure adherence to laws and regulatory requirements.Continually evaluate program viability based on student success measures.Cultivate partnerships with local employers and coordinate employer team meeting preparationsServe as intermediary in resolving programmatic, faculty and student issues.Coordinate schedules for salaried and hourly faculty.Coordinate accreditation requirements for program ensuring that instructional content areas comply with all programmatic and-or institutional accreditation requirements.Train, supervise and provide regular evaluation of program faculty as well as direct the development of professional development.Assist in the development, execution, and maintenance of the annual program budgets for Cosmetology, Barbering and Nail Technology. Control the use of equipment and supplies; recommend purchases.Oversee all aspects of salon operations to include customer service, dispensary, cash handling, staffing, assignment of duties and tasks, organization and orderliness of salons, inventory, and health-safety-security.It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his-her capabilities as determined by managementEDUCATION.and. AND.and. EXPERIENCE.and. REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of six years of a combination of cosmetology-related work experience and-or post-secondary education.Must have a current cosmetology-related license and instructor licenseMust have experience running a salon or business.Preference will be given to those that have retail and educational management experienceProven record of successfully supervising others.Demonstrated ability in developing and managing budgets.Preference will be given to those individuals that have teaching and-or curriculum development technology experience.Proficient in using computers, computer technology, and computer software related to position.Demonstrated ability to work with individuals of all racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.Spanish speaking desirable.Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pmCONDITIONAL.and.
