To ensure accurate recording of all revenues, and related accounts receivable, from all income streams by validating coding, dollar amounts, and realizability. Collect funds on receivables issued to customers. Provide assistance with tax filings. Apply cash as received and reconcile related accounts. Be the subject matter expert on the order to cash cycle.
Key Duties and Responsiblities
Record retail and wholesale revenues on a weekly basisPrepare and record deposits following cash handling best practicesWork within the organization to ensure intercompany and related-party transactions are properly recorded and supported through the use of documented policies and proceduresRespond to and analyze credit and debit card disputes in accordance to issuing bank requirements / requests by providing necessary documentation in support of Native RootsAudit location receipts, propose and implement policy changes to reduce variances against the ERP systemReconcile receivables accounts on the balance sheet and revenue accounts on the income statement within 10 business days of month endCrosstrain as backup for other accounting functionsOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications
3+ years of experience in accountingSelf-motivatedAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamExcellent customer service and client-relations skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityMust already possess, or be able to qualify to receive, a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge and be 21 years of age or olderPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in AccountingExperience as an A/R / revenue accountant preferredBackground in a retail environment preferredPhysical Requirements
