DIP / CHILL / REPEAT
The second coat is part of the recipe.
Milk chocolate and dark chocolate melt together with cannabis coconut oil. Keep the remaining chocolate after the first dip: it becomes the second coat after the cherries have chilled.

Chocolate Dipped Weed Cherries
Timing and yield are approximate; actual results vary with equipment, ingredient temperature and portion size.
Ingredients
- microwave safe bowl
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- ¼ cup Cannabis Coconut Oil
- 24 cherries w/ stems (washed and dried; if you use fresh cherries remember the pit!)
- wax paper lined plate
Instructions
- Heat milk chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, and Cannabis Coconut Oil in a microwave safe bowl. Remove and stir every 20 seconds until melted. Chocolate should be warm but not hot.
- Dip dry cherries by the stems in chocolate one at a time allowing excess chocolate to drip back into bowl.
- Sit cherries on a wax paper lined plate to dry. Repeat until all cherries are coated. Save extra chocolate on the side (you will dip the cherries again.).
- Chill cherries in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- Warm the chocolate sauce back up and remove cherries from the refrigerator.
- Dip each cherry in the chocolate sauce for a second time. Return cherries to the refrigerator to chill for 1 hour before serving.
- Store extra cherries in the refrigerator.

A CLEANER COAT
Dry fruit. Gentle heat. Room to set.
- Dry around the stems
- After washing, pat the cherries dry, including the hollow around each stem. Water carried into melted chocolate can make it seize.
- Stir between short bursts
- Use the recipe’s 20-second microwave intervals and stir each time. Stop when the chocolate is melted and warm; do not keep heating it until it is hot.
- Keep the pit in mind
- Fresh stemmed cherries may still contain pits. Tell anyone eating them; a chocolate shell hides what is inside.
- Refrigerate the finished cherries
- Set them in a single layer in a covered, clearly labelled container. Keep them cold rather than displaying them as shelf-stable candy.
Coating left in the bowl changes the estimate.
The chocolate mixture contains ¼ cup cannabis coconut oil. Some coating remains unused, so dividing all the oil’s THC by 24 does not establish the dose on each cherry. Coating thickness also varies. The THC calculator is an estimate, not a measurement of the finished fruit.
Label and lock up the container away from children and pets. Edible effects can take up to two hours to be felt; avoid taking more while waiting.
Technique: melting chocolate and avoiding water. Safety: CDC edible-cannabis guidance.
