Understanding the estimate
Estimated batch THC (mg) = flower weight (g) × 10 × potential THC (%) × retained fraction. Estimated mg per serving = batch total ÷ number of servings.
If your report gives THCA and delta-9 THC separately, select the laboratory option. The estimate uses (THCA × 0.877) + delta-9 THC for theoretical total potential THC. That 0.877 is a molecular-mass adjustment, not decarboxylation or extraction efficiency. USDA explains the potential-THC calculation.
The retention field represents a single assumed percentage remaining after processing; it is not a measured conversion rate, and the default 70% is only an illustrative assumption. Material testing, heating conditions, extraction, distribution and serving size can change actual results.
Before making infused food
