The coating needs to cling before the sugar goes in. Shake the cereal with the melted chocolate mixture first, then add the powdered sugar for a dry, sweet finish.

The batch contains ⅓ cup cannabutter. No portion count is specified; divide the cooled batch into counted portions before estimating strength.
Ingredients
- 1/3 Cup - Cannabutter
- 9 Cups - Chex Cereal
- 1 Cup - Semisweet Chocolate Chips
- ½ Cup - Peanut Butter
- 1 tsp - Vanilla Extract
- 1 ½ Cups - Powdered Sugar
Instructions
- Place the Cereal into a 1 Gallon Ziplock Freezer Bag
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the cannabutter, semisweet chocolate chips, peanut butter and vanilla extract. Stir until melted and combined.
- Pour the Chocolate mixture onto the Cereal inside the Ziplock Bag. Seal the bag and shake it until all the Cereal is coated with the Chocolate mixture. Once the Cereal is coated, pour the Powdered Sugar into the Ziplock Bag, seal it, and shake it until the Powdered Sugar has coated everything
- Let cool, store in the same Ziplock Bag, and eat with caution
KITCHEN NOTES
Keep the coating light and even.
- Keep the cereal crisp
- Set the cereal aside in its bag before melting the sauce. Work gently so the coated squares stay intact.
- Use room in the bag
- The recipe calls for a one-gallon freezer bag. If it cannot close comfortably, work in batches, dividing both coatings proportionally. Do not handle a very hot bag.
- Cool without trapping steam
- Let the coated cereal cool before closing its storage bag. Label it clearly and keep it in a secured container.
Measure the batch. Label the portions.
Use the known strength of the measured ⅓ cup cannabutter and your actual portion count. The size of a handful cannot establish a dose.
Keep cannabis food labeled and locked away from children and pets. Effects can take hours; avoid taking more while waiting.
