Leftover Stuffing Waffles

Ingredients

Set up Use a waffle iron, cooling rack, and an instant-read thermometer. Use stuffing that was chilled promptly and is still within its refrigerated storage window.

Directions

  1. Crumbled bread stuffing and eggs being mixed in a bowl

    Bind the stuffing

Heat the waffle iron. Stir the crumbled stuffing with the eggs and ¼ cup broth. Add a splash of broth at a time until a spoonful holds together and the mixture still has texture.

  2. Savory stuffing mixture spread inside an open waffle iron

    Spread a thin layer

Coat the iron lightly with cooking spray. Spread about half the mixture across a large iron in a thin even layer. Use smaller scoops in a compact iron.

  3. A crisp golden stuffing waffle just out of the iron

    Cook until it releases

Close the lid and cook until the edges are deeply golden and the waffle lifts cleanly. Check the center for 165°F. Move the waffle to a rack and repeat with the rest.

  4. Savory waffle quarters with cranberry sauce and a separate butter ramekin

    Finish each plate

Stir the orange zest into the cranberry sauce. Warm the sage in the plain butter until fragrant, then remove the pan from the heat. Serve the waffles with the cranberry sauce and sage butter. If using cannabutter, measure and stir it into an individual spoonful off the heat.

Storage Chill cooked leftovers within two hours and use the original stuffing’s refrigerator date. Store any labeled infused finish separately and securely.

Kitchen notes

Get the edges crisp

Why is the waffle sticking?

Give the crust time to set. Once the surface is golden and the center reaches 165°F, lift it with a thin silicone or wooden spatula.

How wet should it be?

The mixture should stay in a mound on a spoon. If it flows like pancake batter, fold in some more crumbled stuffing before pressing it.

Use the product label

Estimate THC in a portion

Measure the cannabutter that goes into the spoonful for one plate. Use the same unit for the label amount and the amount used.

Enter the label values and the amount you used.

The result estimates the THC added to that portion from the product label. Keep infused portions labeled and secured.
