Green Bean Casserole Cups

Ingredients

Set up Grease 16 wells across two regular muffin tins. Let drained beans sit in a strainer while you shape the dough.

Directions

  1. Square pieces of crescent dough fitted into a regular muffin tin

    Make the pastry cups

Heat the oven to 375°F. Seal the seams of each sheet of crescent dough to make two rectangles. Cut each into eight squares and fit one square into each greased muffin well.

  2. Green beans and grated cheddar folded through a creamy mushroom filling

    Stir the miso filling

Whisk the soup, milk, white miso, and pepper smooth. Fold in the beans, half the cheddar, and ⅔ cup of the onions. Divide the filling evenly among the lined wells.

  3. Fried onions being scattered on partially baked green bean casserole cups

    Bake, then add the crunch

Bake 12–15 minutes. Add the remaining cheese and onions to the tops. Return the pan to the oven for about 5 minutes, until the pastry is golden and the onion tops are crisp.

  4. Golden green bean cups with crisp onions and a lemon beside the pan

    Cool and finish

Rest the cups in the pan for 5 minutes and lift them out carefully. Finish with lemon zest. Spoon a measured amount of melted cannabutter onto an individual plated cup if using it.

Storage Refrigerate cooled leftovers in a shallow covered container within two hours. Keep labeled infused portions separate from plain cups.

Kitchen notes

Keep the crust flaky

Should I drain the beans first?

Yes. Let excess liquid drain completely so the filling stays thick enough for the pastry shell.

When do the fried onions go on?

Some go inside for flavor. Add the rest near the end so they stay crisp and have less time to darken.

Use the product label

Estimate THC in a portion

Measure only the butter spooned onto one plated cup or portion. Use the same unit for the label amount and the amount used.

Enter the label values and the amount you used.

The result estimates the THC added to that portion from the product label. Keep infused portions labeled and secured.
