Cookie Dough Bites Recipe
Ingredients
Egg-free dough
Finish
Make the recipe cannabis-free. Where legal, use an edible product from a licensed seller to finish one clearly labeled portion for a legal-age adult who has opted in. Edible effects may take up to 4 hours to peak. Store cannabis in its original package, locked away from children and pets.
Directions
-

Check the flour label
Set out a parchment-lined tray. Measure the ready-to-eat flour, sugars and mini chips. Read the flour package for explicit ready-to-eat directions before mixing. Ordinary raw flour requires baking. Heating it in a home oven or microwave is unreliable.
-

Cream the butter and sugars
Beat the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar for 2 minutes until fluffy. Stir in the vanilla and fine salt, then mix in the flour on low speed. Add milk a teaspoon at a time until the dough holds together. Fold in the chips. Pinch a little dough between two fingers. It should hold together without sticking heavily.
-

Chill and roll
Chill for 20 minutes. Weigh the dough and divide its weight by 16, or use a small scoop to make 16 even portions. Roll each into a ball and set it on the parchment. If the dough is too firm to scoop, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes.
-

Add the chocolate finish
Melt a little semisweet chocolate in a heatproof bowl, then stir until smooth. Dip each plain bite or drizzle to taste, and add a pinch of flaky salt. For one opted-in adult, stir measured softened cannabutter into a separate spoonful of melted chocolate off the heat and spoon it over one bite on a labeled plate. Use a fresh spoon for the measured finish and keep that bite separate from the tray.
Storage Refrigerate plain bites in a covered container for up to 3 days. Finish a single infused bite as needed and keep labeled cannabis locked away from children and pets.
Kitchen notes
Tips, swaps and common questions
Get the dough soft enough to scoop
Use softened butter and add milk slowly. The flour’s grind and storage humidity can change how much milk you need.
Keep chocolate smooth
Use a dry bowl and spoon when melting chocolate. Give the cannabutter time to soften so it blends with less stirring.
Is egg-free cookie dough safe to eat?
Egg-free dough still needs flour sold as ready to eat without baking. Raw flour can carry harmful bacteria, and home heat treatment is unreliable.
Can I make these without wheat?
Use a gluten-free flour or dough blend only if the manufacturer explicitly says it is ready to eat without cooking. Start with less milk because blends absorb liquid differently.
Can I freeze cookie dough bites?
Freeze the plain balls in a sealed container for up to one month for best texture. Thaw in the refrigerator before adding a fresh finish.
Allergens
Contains milk and wheat. Chocolate chips may contain soy and may have cross-contact with nuts.
Use the product label
Estimate THC in a portion
Estimate the measured cannabutter in the chocolate finish for one bite. Leave the 16-bite dough batch plain. Use the same unit for the label amount and the amount used.
The result estimates the THC added to that portion from the product label. Keep infused portions labeled and secured.
