Cookies, a globally recognized cannabis brand, is looking for a Brand Manager. Cookies offers trendsetting cannabis products that start with our indoor and outdoor farms and end up on your favorite dispensary’s retail shelves.  
We’re looking for a classically-trained marketing leader who can drive our global marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will be a leader who will provide brand leadership, vision, analytical skills, and (most importantly) customer and market understanding.
Specifically, candidates will develop marketing and business plans for the Cookies brand and work with multiple channels and functions to execute. They will drive new initiatives forward through effective leadership, strategic thinking, and marketing excellence.
Major Areas of Responsibility:P&L/business planning: Lead development and execution of annual brand plans to meet sales and profit goals. This includes the active monitoring of business fundamentals (pricing, distribution, velocity) and aggressive key competitors and deployment of risk mitigation plans.Brand strategy: Lead the articulation of brand positioning, visual identity, product architecture and strategy, brand guardrails across all stakeholder touchpoints. Also, leads all brand communications both internally and externally.Product strategy: In partnership with Cultivation, Operations and Production teams, the brand manager defines the offerings for the brand, driving competitive superiority in the marketplace and meeting growth objectives. Make the trade-offs necessary to drive excellence in execution and results.Innovation: Provide leadership across brand and commercial innovation, specifically guiding delivery against unique brand proposition. Work closely with cross-functional partners within integrated marketing, packaging and product to develop long-term innovation and equity gains.Sales/customer: Partner with Sales, Retail and Integrated Marketing to develop channel strategies and drive growth business with key accounts, including implications for pricing and sizing, evaluate channel specific needs, identify business opportunities, and track new item distribution and performance. Must be the expert at understanding the buying and influencer groups, like budtenders, and how to build programs in support of driving an action.Insights: Partner with Retail, Sales and Integrated Marketing teams and 3rd party sources to collect and synthesize research (historical, secondary) data into actionable consumer and supplier insights. Deploys best-in-class customer insight and analytics to develop test plans and drive high-impact, targeted marketing strategies, reduce cost and increase marketing ROI.

Selection criteria:Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience:Cannabis industry experience of 2+ years 3+ years CPG Marketing or similar equivalent practical experience is requiredExcellent marketing skills with strong analytics and financial acumenTrack record that demonstrates a drive for resultsAbility to positively influence cross-functional partnersDemonstrated experience with consumer research methodologiesExtensive experience and skills in project managementProficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
